Hi, After upgrading to DNN 10.1.1, I've noticed odd behavior with inside the HTML module. In many cases, I've seen the "Last Updated by..." that is shown in Module Settings, is not correct. It shows the current date and time, as if an update had just been made to the module, when no update was done at that time. It seems like somehow, just accessing the page, or module settings, it triggered the module to believe that an update was made. In some cases, the username listed was different than my own (and I know that no update has been made). The version Hostory reflects the same wrong information.
This does not occur for every module on every page, but it has occurred numerous times. In one case it actually showed that a user made an update, even though the user had been deleted months ago from the site.
Has anyone else seen this issue, and know what might be causing it?

I very highly recommend you continue the upgrade process and get to at least 10.02.05. Its possible this problem was fixed in the releases after 10.1.1, and 10.2.5 is the best next version to go to.
As Jeremy mentioned getting the latest version will help, but if coming from pre 10.x there was additional history added as things migrated to support the new workflows etc.

I'm about to start testing upgrade. I'm wondering is it's advisable to upgrade directly from DNN 10.1.1 to DNN 10.3.3 .
I see that the Suggested upgrade page (DNN Platform Suggested Upgrade Path -- DNN Docs) shows that you should first upgrade to 10.2.5, but thought I would double check whether anyone knows if upgrading directly to 10.3.3 would be a good option anyway (I would of course test upgrade first).

I definitely recommend following the DNN Suggested Upgrade path. It avoids a lot of problems and the steps are proven and well-known. First, using the old copy over method with the 10.02.05 Upgrade package, do that upgrade. If all goes well, then use the new upgrade process and the Install package zip to get to 10.03.02 next.
I feel strongly that from 10.01.01, the next step has to be 10.02.05.
As always, make a backup!

I am used to the process of taking the Upgrade zip, extracting the files and then copying them over the website files. But I saw something about using the Install package now, so I wanted to check what the best way to do the up grade will be .
Yes, the new upgrade process was added in 10.02, so for 10.01.01 you are still using the old (copy-over) process and the Upgrade zip package. For all upgrades after you make it to 10.02+, you'll use the new process.

I do the same thing every time to make it easy, just go to Google search and type, "dnn upgrade path". First result is always the recommended version number to upgrade to. At the bottom of the page there are notes and links onto the upgrade guide for 10.02+.
The main things I like to point out for the new process are:
1. switch to using the Install package zip for upgrades 2. after upload, the Start (the upgrade) button is a very tiny foot-prints iconf
