First login slow?

New Around Here

    Hi there,
On some websites Ive got the idea that the first time I login (as a host) is really slow.
I mean I really have to wait for about 1 minute sometimes.
Then, when I logout and login again, after the first time, the issue is gone, it takes less then a second.

So I'm pretty sure this is not the app pool starting up or something, I visit the site first, then go to the login page, then only on login I have to wait for about 1 minute. So because I already visited some pages, it cannot be the app pool starting up...

So I think it actually is the first time someone logs in after an app pool restart.
So could it be something like the 'global' cache that is being rebuilt during the first login or something??
I'm wondering if this is something other people experience as well...

When logging in, a number of queries are sent to the database, e.g. messages, permissions etc.
I'd use SQL profiler to check for queries with long execution time.
