Hi -I just upgraded our site to DNN 10.1.1 and working through some issues. Before the upgrade, the HTML module editor woule always whow as a modal popup. Now, it's showing as inline. I've made some attempts to get the pop up functionality working but it hasnt succeeded. I tried different settings in Site Settings> Site Behavior> More, where there are two toggle buttons , Enable Popups, and Inline Editor Disabled. I'm currently keeping Enable Popups on and Inline Editor Disabled off. But I can't seem to get the popup editor to work. I did try once changing to a different skin (gravity) on a page, and it reatroed the popup editor. For a couple daysall the sites used the popup editor, but then (i dont know why) it reverted to the inline version. I tried the skin again but this time it made no change. It works fine on a test server where I have a slightly older version of the site running (also DNN 10.1.1) , and strangely, it does work in a popup in Frefox but no other browsers.
Any ideas on how to control this feature?
Thanks
Tom
Hi,
I just made a test on a recent DNN 10.3.2 upgraded. IMO you only have to enable Popups on your website to make it works.
Please note that you have to reload the page after you enabled this feature because command links are generated during the page building. You can chek if the URL behind the Edit Content command contains things like javascript, dnnModal and popup.
In addition, I believe that this option also display the login banner in a popup which could be ugly on recent DNN version depending on your skin.
Thanks Stephane for your reply. When you say "enable Popups on your website", where are you referring to? Where will I do that?
Thanks again.
This is the option you were talking about: the one with the switch in the site settings (Site Settings> Site Behavior> More).
Please also note that the inline editor option should correspond to the quick editing feature which is different.
Please assist in where to find the specification regarding the Popups. I looked under "site settings"and "page settings" yet did not find it.
It should be right there "Enable Popups"
Thanks everyone for your replies - I do know of that Enable Popups button, but I am not seeing consistent results. When I turn the button on, in some cases I'm still seeing the inline version of the editor. The behavior does not seem consistent over different sites and browsers. I currently have the button on for all sites, but some (not all) aare still showing the inline editor.

Make sure you clear cache, restart app and if you've CDN don't forget to purge. Also, reset app pool from server.
On the pages you're not able to see the pop-up, so you get sent errors on the browser developer mode?
