We have upgraded DNN version from 5.6.8 to 6.2.8

we have deployed code to test site and testing team start complaining issues related random session time out

session times out unexpectedly even thought we have set session time out value 30 mins in our config files

please suggest what could be done in these situations?

You're an MVP!
first, you need to determine the cause of the timeout.
- Database
- caching
- DNN framework
- 3rd party extensions
Use SQL Profiler and SQL Server activity monitor for the first point.
Check DNN event log for errors being logged.

I'm sure that you know this but, having moved to DNN 6.x, you really should continue the trip to 9.9.1 which is the current version.

Some of your problems will be lessened by that. DNN 6.2.8 was released on 7/3/2013 -- 8 years ago! Lots of good work have been done in those 8 years.
