Hi everyone,

I am looking to find out if the Gravity theme is compatible with the current version of DNN (9)

I am running thisthem on version 07.04.02 (216) and would like to upgrade the DNN version to its most version.

You may find that you'll need to make minor modifications to the skin and container files. Mostly, there may be code that needs to be removed.

The error messages you may see will be fairly obvious as to the problems.

I'd go for it, and encourage you to ask questions about problems here. It would also be best to do the upgrade on a copy of the current site, so that you can work out those problems privately.

Once done, you'd only need to copy the skin and container folders on top of the production site. I'd copy the existing folders and rename them first, so that you do have the option to revert easily.

Hi Sanaz,

I think that Gravity will be quite compatible with DNN 9, but I've never tested it. You can try the most recent out-of-the-box Xcillion or the Xcillion2, which will suit better with DNN 9.

You'll have to upgrade by steps, to ensure the correct upgrading of all DNN components (www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/suggested-upgrade-path), and don't forget to backup your system before performing any major change.
