DNN Development - Peter Donker

Developing for the DNN Platform. Is this something that you should invest time and energy in? Is it now akin to developing in Cobol? Or is it new and exciting? In this segment, Peter Donker will make the case that developing for the DNN Platform has a rich history and is as exciting today as it was back in 2003.

  • Peter joined today to give us an idea of DNN Extenstion Development past and present. Things have really changed, from the underlying technology to the development method, the market and the DNN organization have all gone towards a change in the DNN ecosysstem today to the one back in 2003. And all of that change is for the better! Peter gave an overvew of the starting history through to today.
  • One of the topics that Peter gave a good overview for is the relationship that ovder time has moved from DNN Corp and Evoq vs Community edition from the early DNN Corp days through to today's environment with ESW and Evoq with the switch to having the DNN Community driving updates, improvements and changes in the opensource community approach for DNN ongoing development. It was both a good overview of the starting point and history as well as an update to explain the current status quo.

  • Alesandra presented in an excited, colorful way about her love of structured content and specifically working with in Evoq's Liquid Content. In this quick version of the presentation she gave for DNN Summit 2021 back in Feburary during the conference.

This cheat sheet is an interactive reference for the Liquid templating language that will help you build ecommerce templates on Shopify.
