We are thrilled to announce the release of DNN.SecurityCenter module v1.5.0! This latest update is now available on GitHub and brings important improvements that enhance the transparency and accuracy of security information within the DNN ecosystem. You can explore the release details here and access the module on the DNN Security page.

Key Updates in v1.5.0

One of the most significant improvements in this release addresses a longstanding issue where the module defaulted to displaying security bulletins for DNN Platform v09.01.01. This behavior created confusion and a negative sentiment, as many users expected to see security bulletins for "All Versions." The bug has now been resolved, ensuring that the module accurately reflects the "no known security vulnerabilities" status for recent DNN Platform releases (09.13.07 as of the date of this article). This fix significantly improves the optics and user confidence in DNN's security posture. Woohoo! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

But that’s not all—v1.5.0 includes additional enhancements that make the module more reliable and user-friendly, solidifying its role as a trusted resource for DNN community members.

Shoutout to Daniel Valadas

A special thank you goes out to Daniel Valadas (valadas on GitHub) for his incredible contributions to this release. Daniel’s expertise and dedication played a key role in resolving issues and making this update a success. The DNN Community is lucky to have such a passionate and skilled contributor. Thank you, Daniel!

That's a great update, it helps lower confusion when administrators look at the Security Center without realizing the different version points. This now shows clear state that the administrator can rely on to know when DNN is secure and stable at the top version!
