A first update on the DNN MVC Pipeline Project
In our previous blog post, we introduced the idea of creating a true MVC pipeline for DNN. From the very beginning, we want to be open and transparent about how this project evolves. That’s why we are sharing updates as we go, instead of only publishing results at the end.
This way, everyone in the community has the chance to follow along, give feedback, and even get involved.
Project Discussions and Planning
The project was presented to the Technology Advisory Group (TAG), where we had open discussions and agreed on the way forward.
To keep development manageable and transparent, we decided to split the work into multiple pull requests.
By keeping everything in public repos and projects, everyone can see what’s happening and where we are heading.
Step-by-Step Approach
We also separated the parts of the MVC pipeline that can already be added to DNN 10 without breaking changes. This allows us to share smaller improvements with the community earlier, while the bigger pipeline changes continue in parallel.
A first example:
Sponsor Feedback
To make sure the approach fits everyone’s expectations, we had several open meetings with our sponsors. Their feedback was positive, and they agreed with the direction we are taking.

Stay Involved
We created a dedicated forum to keep you up to date on the MVC pipeline:
MVC Pipeline Forum
Make sure to subscribe to this forum for (email) updates. We’re also preparing a dedicated page for ongoing development, which will feature a list of our sponsors — so the community can see who is helping to make this project possible. We’ll announce it in the forum as soon as it’s ready.
We Need Your Input
Openness only works if it’s a two-way conversation. Community feedback is very important to us. If you have ideas, questions, or concerns, please let us know. You can:
And of course, if you would be interested in sponsoring this project now or in the future, please reach out. Your support helps us move faster and keep the development sustainable. We will also list our sponsors on the dedicated project page for this and future projects we are creating, so the community knows who is making this possible.
We’re committed to building this new step for DNN together with the community — in the open, from the start.
