Introduction

We are a group of long-time community members working to create a cleaner way for DNN to render pages, without breaking existing implementations. Our goal is to modernize the platform while maintaining backward compatibility and ensuring a smooth transition path for existing modules and themes.

We're excited to announce the technology preview test installer of the MVC Pipeline for DNN! A significant amount of work has gone into finalizing these changes to deliver a testable preview. We invite you to explore this release, test it thoroughly, and share your feedback with us.

Current Status

• Expect changes: This is a preview release, so you should anticipate modifications to naming conventions and other details before the final version.
• Under review: The changes are currently being reviewed by the technology group: https://github.com/dnnsoftware/Dnn.Platform/pull/6749
• Start testing now: In the meantime, you can explore how the MVC Pipeline works and understand what modifications will be needed to make your modules, themes, or other extensions compatible.
• We want to hear from you: Please contact us with any questions or suggestions, and let us know what you've tested or plan to test.

New "Razor Plus" Pattern

We're proposing a new "Razor Plus" pattern that mimics .NET Core development practices, making it a future-proof approach: razor-module-development.md
We'd appreciate your feedback on whether this pattern works for you. This is still in early stages, so please share your thoughts. Keep in mind that this pattern may evolve before the final release.
