Greetings everyone, Our client has contracted us to integrate analytics into their DNN system. The issues that we're facing is that not only we are completely new to DNN, but our client and their IT department isn't very savvy on their system as well. We aren't sure what is required to run a local instance of their site to build upon. So far I followed these two links in setting up my environment: DNN - Set up Tools and DNN - Set up Environment, next we received their .template and .template.resources to import. We're still in the process of receiving SQL access. Ideally, we want to expose the page properties from the DNN which includes the page type, template information, site categories, etc. That information will be pushed to their data layer where the front-end will complete the analytic event tracking on the page and submit it. Once this is done, we will provide our chagnes for them to deploy. Any additional information on what we're missing or need to do next is greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your reply, The analytics integration is Adobe Analytics which requires us to input a script block at the footer to send the information. I will check out your links since they look promising and you've stated done this before. The issue I'm facing right now is that their UI is different from what I assume that you're describing as a typical DNN instance, so i don't know if this can apply to their unique setup. Once again, we are just the vendors so there's a lot of hurdles we need to address in terms of access. I am happy with the help you provided. I will update if there's any further issues.
