I recently began work for a non-profit (stamps.org) that runs a DNN CMS, and I have been put in charge of some content areas that I'd like to learn more about and understand so I can do even basic editing. No one on staff here knows anything about the way that modules, extensions, and apps really interact, and while I am marginally proficient now in very basic page editing, we have some issues going on, from my perspective - inside of modules or Apps that I cannot figure out how to access to edit. These all see, to relate to our Newsroom template - or module - or app - and as you can see, my understanding of the internal page structures and objects and various editing features is simply not adequate to problem solve these issues. So am looking for both specific assistance with this - and access to some decent site / object documentation, training and/or consulting. Thank you!
Hello Eric, and welcome to the DNN Community!
You'll find a lot of beginner videos in the Videos area here, including the many we have on our own YouTube DNN admin playlist.
Oh, and there is plenty of info in the Docs part of the website too. :)
As far as specific "How do I" kind of questions, it may be best to post each of those questions individually. The answers may be different, depending on who was building it before you, what modules were used, and so many more factors.
DNN implementations range from super-simple and easy-to-use, to much more complicated. It really depends on how well the person before you put things together.
When in edit mode, open the module setting on the top-right of the module and look for "module", note the greyed-out name. Now from the Persona bar, open Settings > Extensions and look for the module name you just found.
Click the edit pen next to it, this will give you some more info on what module is used for that specific content.
