Database size

Hey all, i was just wondering how big do you think is the biggest DNN database?

 

One of our biggest database is 360mb and has arround 13.000 users.

I think website with more than 50.000 users wont be a problem?

There are DNN sites with more than one million users.

the database size does not really correspond with the number of users. A DNN database can be very very big (esp. when the EventLog is never cleared...), but have only a few users, and can be not much bigger than initially with a lot of users.

Theoretically: As the UserId is an integer in the database, a DNN site could have up to 2,147,483,647 users.

But have in mind: the database size on SQL Server Express is limited to 10 GB, and the memory to 1410 MB.

the larger the database becomes, the more important are proper indexes, otherwise you may run into performance issues.
For sites with a large number of users, I created my Turbo Scripts, which improve query performance significantly. (A version for DNN 9.4.1 is currently in the make).
