I do remember there was a couple of bugs with caching of user profiles, I would probably start by upgrading DNN, see https://docs.dnncommunity...rade-path/index.html and let us know if you encounter any upgrade isues. I would suggest to also look at any extension having updates to match the DNN version you are upgrading to.

But did you check Security > Member Accounts > Registration Settings > Display Name Format?
