As many of you may have seen, the MVC Pipeline project is currently in a technology preview stage. Up until now we have mainly been presenting this to our sponsors, but we would now like to bring it to the broader community and open up the conversation. We are looking for developers who are willing to test adding support for the MVC Pipeline to their own Modules and/or Themes. We would love to know what you are testing, what results you are getting, and where you are running into challenges. If you need help along the way, we want to support you.
We will organise small group meetings for our testers to support them, answer questions, and collect feedback.

I created a MVC version of the 2shine skin from 2sic. It is not a 100% copy as I made some minor changes to the header and footer.

I first started using the MVC Pipeline over a year ago. I began with the Alpha release and converted all my RocketCDS modules from RocketCDS to MVC.

The MVC Pipeline project is a major step forward for DNN and an important move toward enabling DNN to run on .NET Core. I believe this is essential if DNN is to remain competitive in the CMS market. DNN offers far more than many other CMS platforms, and I would be very disappointed to see it lose momentum. This is why we chose to sponsor this project, and why other sponsors have also stepped forward to support it.
With the latest release of the MVC Pipeline, I have now started converting my RocketCDS modules into Razor modules that are fully compatible with the MVC Pipeline.
My RocketContent module, which is a flexible module similar to OpenContent and 2sxc, has already been converted and is working well.
I am currently converting the RocketDirectory, RocketBlog, RocketNews, RocketEvents, and RocketForm modules. So far, I have a working version of RocketDirectory and everything appears to be functioning correctly. My next step is to ensure that all SEO requirements are fully supported.
I also need to confirm that DDRMenu is compatible with the category node manipulation used by the Directory system so that categories display correctly in the menu.
Overall, the transition is progressing well, and I would like to thank the MVC Pipeline team for their continued effort and commitment.
Wrt to the above mentioned skin, I compared loading speed on https://pagespeed.web.dev/
I found that FCP on mobile is better for the MVC version, compared to the Webforms version, while LCP is about the same.

Exciting times - I’m really happy to see this moving forward.
I’m currently looking into what is necessary to get 2sxc working with the DNN MVC Pipeline, since we are considering it for adoption. I don’t yet know exactly how it fits into the new pipeline, but I assume some work will be needed, and I’d like to better understand the requirements.
I’m happy to test the preview and provide feedback on what works, what does not, and what would be needed from my side.
