Changing Name of a Page

I have encountered a situation in which DNN won't let me change the name of a page. I have 3 pages named something like the following:

basepage
basepage-backup
basepage-test

My intent is to use the basepage-backup in place of basepage. So, I try to change basepage to basepage-original. Then I try to change basepage-backup to basepage. It is then that DNN says there is already a page named basepage, and I can't change the name of basepage-backup.

Where am I going wrong?

If this is DNN 9.x, you'll need to check and change the page URLs, too ... I think. On the Advanced tab from Pages, click the S.E.O. sub-tab and fix the offending URL(s).

As Joe mentioned, DNN keeps track of previous URLs this way.  This helps to address SEO issues when non-technical end-users change the name of a page without realizing the impact it has on internal and external links.  Power users will know this and should follow the steps outlined by Joe.  Have fun DNN-ing! :)
