First time configuring DNN?

Started By  Will Strohl
Is this your first time configuring DNN  Did you just get told to take care of the website and don't know where to even begin  Well, you're in the right place.  Ask your configuration/admin questions in this forum and also feel free to review the documentation for this topic using the link below. [Edited by someone other than Will ...] https://dnndocs.com/content/administrators/ The link above doesn't work.  You may want to look at https://dnndocs.com, but the admin section is decided...

Issue with Let's Encrypt renewal

Started By  amurraygbhu
I am hoping someone can assist me with an issue that I am having. My website has been setup for a while and I recently switched to using Let's Encrypt for the ceritificate. The first 2 times it renewed I had to manually renew it as it wouldn't autorenew. Now it won't even allow me to manually renew the certificate. Error I am getting is that the authorization token is not available. When I follow the instructions from Plesk for troubleshooting it I try the steps for 'checking website availabi...

Best Practices for Optimizing DNN Performance

Started By  Deleted User
I’m managing a DNN (DotNetNuke) site and looking for the best ways to optimize its performance. I’ve noticed some slow page loads and occasional lag, especially with more complex modules. What are your go-to optimizations for improving DNN performance Some areas I’d love to get insights on: Caching strategies Database optimization Minimizing resource-heavy modules Best hosting environments for DNN

DNN search index image path to lowercase

Started By  willem
We have a website with products images. The images are indexed bij the DNN Search (Lucene) it looks like lucene converts the image path to lowercase. Is there a way to make DNN search index case sensitive so it doesn't convert image paths to lowercase

protecting video behind LinkClick.aspx - but I still want to skip through

Started By  James Clarkson
I need to protect videos and present them to members of a Role. The videos are in a Protected folder and can be accessed with LinkClick.aspx urls. But those video cannot be previewed/skipped through or rewound - they need to download completely first. Is there a LinkClick.aspx alternative (or preferably an enhancement) that copes with HTTP Range requests, 206 Partial Content responses, Content-Range, etc so that the videos can be skipped through yet remain protected

Office 365 SMTP Stopped working

Started By  Matt C
I have several sites that were configured and working correctly - sending mail as expected - (all slightly different 9.x CE versions), right up until the last ~15 days or so - I'm not sure exactly what date they stopped working. Some use the DNN Feedback module, some using 3rd party module (Action Form). Now, none of them work, and thus far have not found any solutions. Has anyone else experienced this, and have you been able to resolve Thank you!

M365 support for sending email? Legacy SMTP Username/Password to be retired

Started By  DNNDude
Hi Nukers, Does DNN support sending email via M365 without resorting to legacy username/password authentication  I currently have sites configured to use Gmail SMTP with a username/password.  In order to use this legacy authentication method, you need to configure Gmail to 'allow less secure applications', etc. Is Oauth / App registrations possible to send email, or is SMTP the only way wtih DNN

Changing SMTP settings creates errors with SMTP

Started By  amurraygbhu
So I have been using DNN locally for a while now and SMTP has been working fine. My server is hosted on site. I use an SMTP relay on my local environment that sends the email to Office 365. For Authentication I use anonymous. I am working on moving my website to a web host and so I need to change the SMTP settings. I changed it to OAuth and tried to get OAuth to work. Not having much success, but that might be another issue unless someone has good documentation. I get an error that the URL Redir...

Cannot use Office 365 OAUTH2

Started By  Fab.Lser
Hello, I have some throubles configuring Office 365 oauth2. I created the application in Office365 and configured it in my DNN test installation. The configuration in DNN seems to be correct (Microsoft authentication is completed, I see the informational message 'Your OAuth provider's configuration has been completed.'). Anyway, clicking on Test connection button, I got an authentication error. After some tests, I discovered that this message changes if I change SMTP address (DNN should no...
