Asset Manager Taking Forever to Load?

I have a 9.13.1 site that will be upgraded soon, and it started as 9.13.1. Right now, we have a major performance issue when attempting to load the Site Assets page. Every single time you attempt to load the page, we have to wait upwards of a minute before the file manager view begins to load.

I did a query of records for the files and folders tables, and each has under 25k records.  This doesn't sound like a large number of records, but maybe the code isn't prepared for this many files/folders...

Has anyone else run into this?  I don't see any updates that appear to directly relate to this in 9.13.2 and 9.13.3.

Is this using the standard DNN folder provider or is this using the Azure folder provider? If the latter, there are known issues in that area.

This could also be related to the hosting environment. I have seen performance issues like this in Azure when all the handles haven't been jiggled just right.

        Thanks for the reply, David.

No, we're not using the built-in Azure connector.  We tried using that a while back and it lacks most of the features we'd normally need.  We tend to go with Evotiva DNNGlobal Storage for folder providers.

In this case, we do have one Evotiva folder and it is indeed hitting an Azure blob, but the speed issue was present before that folder existed.  The remaining folders are all standard DNN folders.

I also forgot to mention that I don't see anything new added to the error logs from the point that I request the file management page to load, to the point that the view finally finishes loading.

Is the site hosted on Azure?

As far as I know, there are no performance bottlenecks in the Resource Manager as it relates to standard DNN folders. It leverages lazy loading, etc. That said, I have seen issues when the site is hosted in Azure (even if using the standard folder provider.

It is indeed in Azure, but in a VM.  We already have a work item for troubleshooting the environment.  Unfortunately, I won't be able to provide any insights or information for that.  In this project, we're not allowed to look or touch the VM directly.  Right now, I'm trying to exhaust the options that are available without directly accessing the server.  I'll have the client do that.

                10-4, understood.
