FYI for First time configuring DNN?

When the link to https://docs.dnncommunity.org/ was created in the post, a comma was apparently added at the end, so the link does not work correctly.

Started By  Malcolm Bradley
I really hope there's someone who can help me.  I have a DNN 9.10 installation which every few months causes either the site to crash or if noticed early enough will not allow users to login. When attempting to login the following message appears... The transaction log for database 'xxxxxxx.com' is full due to 'LOG_BACKUP'. My host support team reports the database has bloated significantly so they reduce the size of the database and all is well again. I had sugested this https://www...

DNN HTML Editor Constantly Stripping or Changing My Code

Started By  D0rk52
Hey everyone, I’m running into a frustrating issue with the DNN HTML editor. Every time I add custom HTML, CSS, or JavaScript to a module using the HTML editor, it keeps stripping out parts of my code or modifying it automatically when I go back in to edit. For example: Inline styles and script tags get removed or rewritten. The editor sometimes reorders or reformats the markup. When I save and reopen, certain tags or attributes vanish completely. This makes it a pain to work with, esp...

Question re: site assets - using the admin interface versus loading content on the backend - pros and cons

Started By  alexismaria
Can someone tell me the advantages and disadvantages of using site assets to upload documents versus uploading content on the backend using File Explorer The content editors prefer using the backend. They only have access to certain folders with permissions applied. I'd like to respond with a comparison. I'll need to respond to a team meeting in a few weeks and I'd like to explain best practices and why. Thanks. Alexis
