Hi All,

I have DNN 9.11.0 installed and have the following requirement :

  1. Users belonging to specif role should be allowed to view/edit pages in specified hierarchy. By hierachy i mean parent page and its descendenats.
  2. These users shoudnot be allowed to access/edit any other page in the DNN site.
  3. Users which doesn't belong to that role shouldn't be allowed to access such pages.

Note : I have already implmeneted point 1 and 3 by creating a role and managing permissions of such pages. How ever not able to implement 2 mentioned above.

Please help me on this.

Regards

I'm confused... You'd use pretty much the same technique and features to accomplish all 3. 🤷🏽‍♂️

In DNN 10.01.01 I have (I think) a similar issue.

I have;

Created roles for Secretaries, Members, and Reviewers.

Assigned those roles to various users.

Added the appropriate permissions to the pages.

Added start dates for each user.

Nevertheless, none of the users has access to their pages...

What am I missing?

Congrats, your posts are really liked!

Hi George,

Take a closer look at the existing roles, make sure none of the existent roles have a conflict with your custom roles causing these users to access the pages you mentioned.

Regards.
