Hi All,

I have DNN 9.11.0 installed at mylocal and have 11 users configured. Now i want to create 2 users as Super User/host. But i am not finding this role in Manage > Users screen, so that i could assign  Super User/host role to these 2 users.

Regards

Just to give my 2 cents: A Super User Account (aka "Host" user) is not meant to edit content, but to manage the portal(s) within the DNN installation. For security reasons it is recommended to keep the number of Super Users as low as possible - 2 makes sense if the "one" is on holydays, sick, left the company...

My procedure is to have only one super user, and use this account only when needed. I have a second (administrator) account to maintain the site, and the password for the super user is locked somewhere where only a handful of selected people have access to, just in case I am not available for some reason. For daily work, I use the admin account.

Happy DNNing!
Michael

I'd have to echo what Michael is saying as one of our best practices as well.  It's also worth noting that you shouldn't use the superuser account for any testing of any kind as well.  This user account doesn't have a user profile (technically), and the results of the testing could lead you down unnecessary troubleshooting paths.
