Hello Everyone,

I am running DNN 9.2.2 with 2 child portals since a long time. Both child portals have proper login pages from where I usually login as host and move around in all the portals. Today I tried to add the Account Login module to a page on the main portal but it resulted in a critical error as follows:

--------------------------------------------------
Message:Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
StackTrace:
InnerMessage:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

-------------------------------------------------------------

The same error appears when I directly go to the default login URL - mywebsite.com/login.aspx
EDIT: I am able to add Account Login module to any page on the child portal without any error!

Please help! Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Raghu

So I have found a temporary solution, but the concern remains.

The registration setting on my main portal was set to "None" (intentionally so). I changed it to "Private". After this I am able to install the Account Login module to a page and the default login link (mywebsite/login.aspx) is also working fine.

However, I still wish to find to solution to my original problem because I want only the admin should be able to add the users. There should be no registration option open (which is open now through default register URL).

My biggest concern is default login URL (mywebsite/login.aspx) not working when registration was set to "None". Its scary for any admin!

Any help would be appreciated!
