I have dug through all the forums, bugs, bug fixes, platform code, etc but cannot find a solution for what is going on with my site https://www.iccms.edu. It has an alias of www.iccms.edu and iccms.edu. It works fine in every way except for when placed in an iframe. The college that uses this website also uses Canvas. There have been times where instructors need to embed our website in a discussion or announcment. This is done using an iframe.

What I am encountering is that when placed in an iframe, my site redirects with ?portalid=0 on the end of the URL. This happens over and over again until there are many many ?portalid=0 tagged to the end of the URL and the request fails with "too many redirects".

Its easy to test and see by placing this:

into HTML (even an HTML module on a dnn site) and see what happens. This has been driving me crazy so I was hoping someone in the community might could give me a lead to chase down.

Thanks!

Congrats on posting!

It is not an iframe issue.

As I wanted to rule out a csp blocking iframes, I checked https://report-uri.com/home/analyse. If I paste https://www.iccms.edu/Home/portalid/0 to check the csp, it already gives 'too many redirections'.

Could you check the SEO tab? You might have (many) urls there because pages have shifted around in the siitemap, renamed etc. This can sometimes lead to too many redirections behaviour. After deleting old urls, restart the app (clearing the cache) and try again.

Thanks for the reply! It doubted it is an iframe issue but it was the only way I see this behavior.

For my Home page, under SEO, the only URL is: "/" set to active (200). Should I have other URLs there perhaps?
