Good Day Sir/Madam.

Hope everyone is well. It is my first time on the DNN Community hoping to seek out assistance :)

Our team has taken over a DNN site that we have limited knowledge on. We currently running DNN7 and trying to migrate existing modules to DNN8. We have multiple different applications set up and we beleive the easiest method was export/import feature.

We successfully exported the required modules but we currently blocked as when we try the upload the import file to templates folder, it doesn't show up on the import wizard where it requires us to select the template before import.

Any advice will be valuable. Thank you very much!

Congrats on posting!
Have you tried clearing the cache after copying the template? Maybe also restarting the application pool?

Hi Mr Will

Thank you for response and advice. Much appreciated. We tried clearing the cache and also restarting the application pools on IIS, that did not work.

However we think the issue was with the export. The template file was taking long to be fully generated as we were exporting many applications at once and its content. We noticed tags in the xml file were not closed. We then exported page by page without content. That did the trick :)

Thank you very much
