If I do not fill the SEO keywords per page and have empty SEO keywords on site level, but I still get the keywords "DotNetNuke,DNN" generated on page display.

Where is this defined? How can I prevent this?

That is a painkiller, but not a remedy. "Quality is not correcting errors afterwards"

Hmmm, there is a place to "Show Copyright Credits" on the Security, More, More Security Settings tab on the Persona Bar. I looked at a site that began as a clean 9.3.2 installation, the setting was turned off, but the DNN stuff still appeared in the page source. I changed the setting manually, and the settings disappeared after clearing the cache and restarting the application.

Subsequently, I was able to toggle the appearance of the information using the UI. So, I'm not sure why it appeared differently when I first looked.

But I assume that this is working, at least if you toggle the settings and remember that this is one of those changes that needs a restart to actually take effect.

I found a YouTube video by Chris Hammond that deals with this: https://www.dnnsoftware.c...ngs-copyright-credit

You can always go to HostSettings in the database, find the setting "Copyright" and change the value to "N."

This video was for an early version of DNN 9, and Chris mentions in the forum post that the UI to do this is "coming in DNN 9.1."

Hi Joe, tnx for the reply.

My question about the keywords is not about the copyright notice in the generated HTML source, but the SEO metatag
<code>&#91;meta id="MetaKeywords" name="KEYWORDS" content="DotNetNuke,DNN," /&#93;</code>

Where is this defined & can be switched OFF?

EPT,

Turning the "Show Copyright Credits" setting to off eliminates all of the things you want eliminated. Give it a try.

The help text for that item says:

"Check this box to add the DNN copyright credits to the page source."

It's about the stuff that's added to the page source, and has nothing to do with the copyright text in the skin object.

You are right Joe. The name of the field & the help text description is misleading. For me, this is "DNN Copyright Credits":

<code>&lt;&#33;&#45;&#45;*********************************************&#45;&#45;&gt;<br /> &lt;&#33;&#45;&#45; DNN Platform - <a href="http://www.dnnsoftware.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.dnnsoftware.com</a>   &#45;&#45;&gt;<br /> &lt;&#33;&#45;&#45; Copyright (c) 2002-2018, by DNN Corporation &#45;&#45;&gt;<br /> &lt;&#33;&#45;&#45;*********************************************&#45;&#45;&gt;</code>

And not the metatag keywords.

FWIIW, I have created several SQL snippets to correct the various settings (Portal, Host) that I normally run after an install, including the Copyright setting to N. Those SQL script where not run for this particular site yet..
