Restart Application query

Am I right in thinking that admin Servers / Restart Application updates the date/time of web.config?   It's just that web.config showed up in Security Analyser / Recently modified files, which gave me a bit of a shock!

Restarting the application is pretty much the same thing as recycling the app pool from IIS.

DNN does have the capability of modifying it's web.config file. That happens when you add or delete extensions to do some configuration changes that are reflected in the web.config.

You might want to make a backup copy of web.config. You can use it to compare with the current version to see what has changed. That's helpful in the future.

It is possible, too, that this is a danger signal. So, you might want to go through web.config and see if anything jumps out.
