I have been managing a website for eight years for an organization that holds a symposium every year. Registration opens in October and the symposium is the last week in March the following year. So the registration and symposium purchases tabs are not displayed from April to October. I just set the View permissions to not display. After the symposium is over I clean out all of the registered users and purchases that were made. Examples of purchases are banquet tickets, golf tournament, sponsorships and exhibit booths. In October every year I change the Registration tab to be available to All Users so people can register. We have an email that goes out with a link to Verify your account. Once verified they can login and when logged in I set permissions for the Registration tab to not display for Registered users so they can't try to register again. I then set permissions on the Symposium Event Registration (the purchase tab) tab to display for Registered Users so it is available once they login. This has worked for 7 years, but now it won't display for a registered user when they login in. This is such a simple thing to just change the permissions by checking the View for Registered Users, but it won't display. I can get it to display for All Users, but I only want it to display for a Registered User after they login. I have checked the roles for a test account and it Shows Registered User role. I have even tried to create a new page with permissions for Registered Users to View and it won't display. I have 20 years of DNN experience and this makes me feel so dumb. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi there!
What else has changed since the last time you tried this?
Have you tried performing the same permissions test on another page to see if the behavior is site-wide?
Do you see any errors logged that might be related?
