    Hello everyone,

We are trying to solve a rather perplexing error after upgrading our webservers from the EOL Windows Server 2012 R2 to 2022 (currently experiencing the error on 2016). We upgraded the testing server successfully with no issues but the produiction server (which the testing server was an exact clone of) is giving us a runtime error as shown in the screenshot below. The targetFramework compilation option targets 4.7.2 and that's where the runtime error shows as failing, even though we have 4.7.4076.0 installed as listed at the bottom of the screenshot. Does anyone have an idea for a fix? Thanks in advance.

Install all updates on your server including the latest .Net patches. Read the error message, the answer is in the message.

Yeah... As Mariette mentioned, it just looks like the server isn't fully configured to run an ASP.NET application.  The video below should help, but it's not covering a production environment.  Those steps will be a bit different due to all kinds of things, including security.
