We are planning to use DNN in our invironment for Internal Portal, but our management requiremnets is to make it offline: I mean without internet connection on the servers nor the staff PCs.

Is this can be done using DNN?

Thanks.

You can run DNN without being connected to the outside world. But if you want people to visit the portal, there should be a way to connect :-)

I think the bottom line is that the wish is to have it as secure as possible.
1. DNN is an excellent choice for that.
2. Use proxy's as a gate keeper and security software like Eset for extra security

We use DNN in our Intranet information system. Absolutely no problem.

If you have any specific questions, PM me.

DNN itself has no need to be directly connected to the internet. There are a large number of DNN websites that sit behind firewalls for all kinds of varying use cases, including and especially intranets. The only thing you may run into will be API connections for certain data (maybe), and potential license activation challenges if you're using any commercial extensions. If the latter becomes an issue, all vendors I'm aware of likely have an offline license activation method.

Will, you are right, but this is the other direction. In these cases, the server where DNN runs needs access to specific IP addresses/ports, that does not mean that it has to be reachable from the internet.

Happy DNNing!
