Hi nukers,

How do we determine the best and latest stable build of DNN?  Where are the official launch notifications?  This page https://www.dnnsoftware.com/community/download has 9.2.2 as the latest.  Is this correct?

Hi,

the latest stable version is 9.3.2 at the moment - you find the releases here: https://github.com/dnnsof...nn.Platform/releases

9.4.0 should be available soon.

Happy DNNing!

Thanks Michael,

Is this the best way to find out the best/stable version?  As I pointed out, the DNN sites says 9.2.2.  There used to be blog posts/announcements.  Looks like GitHub is the new thing?  If so, DNN has really gone to the devs...

Hi,

yes, GitHub is the place to go. And yes: DNN has really gone to the devs, or better: to the community that takes care about it.

Happy DNNing!

Congrats on posting!

When it comes to GitHub and how it lists releases, this link would probably be the best one to use.  It would always highlight the latest stable release, whereas the other link will also show Beta and RC releases.

OK, thanks guys - good to know. So is DNNCorp / https://www.dnnsoftware.com still a thing? They obviously don't care about keeping their website up-to-date, which is pretty bad for a CMS software company. They had one job! ;-) Bit confused about the whole DNN thing now...

This website is about DNN Platform and it's managed by the DNN Community (both code base and website).
dnnsoftware.com is more about the commercial version of DNN (Evoq) which is built on top of DNN platform and managed by DNN Corp.

Thanks Timo,

Good to know. This clarifies things a bit. I think this is the place for me then....like the old days.

This post and thread demonstrates a crying need to have a clear and prominent download link on the site.

Clicking the How To and then Download and Install doesn't make this clear at all. I'd even like to see something on the home page that identifies the "best and latest stable build of DNN" with a clear link to the download page on GitHub.

The extensive instructions for nvQuickSite are great, and nvQuickSite is a super great tool, but the direct link is even more important.

Thanks Joe. Agreed. Have a "Download" menu - this is pretty standard stuff.

While we're on the subject of menus, it seems that the "Community" menu is surely the best place for the "Forums", rather than "Resources"
