Counter measuring downloads

New Around Here

I was wondering if there is some module, app or other code that I can install so that we can see visually how many views, downloads and citations have been done for each document we have. Something like this below. This DNN community website has something similar. We'd like this type of feature to be available visually for users.

I have not seen a specific module that is doing all of this. The DNN.Documents can display the number of clicks (downloads), but you have to check the count option for each document.

On the other hand it should not be too hard to create something using one of the all-purpose structured content modules like OpenContent: Structured Content editing for DNN or 2sxc. (Or maybe there is already a template/an app for this, I did not research...)

      Happy DNNing!

It would be possible to build a module for this too, if that is found to be necessary. It could be useful to even use the Documents module as the starting point, making development faster and cheaper. You'd only need to add the new counter/tracking feature in the way you desire. :)
