Grid for Dnn

    currently use action grid and am happy with it - is there any way i can freeze the leftmost column of the grid when scrooling

    what other grids are available for DNN  which can do a sql query and auto populate the grid

      Regarding Action Grid itself, it may be best to reach out to their support.  You're more likely to get a meaningful response there, I'm guessing.  

      As for running a query and seeing the results in a grid, there are a handful of options, for sure.  Do you have any specific requirements?

        Hi Bob,
        Regarding freezing the left column in action grid: if the left column is being populated from SQL, I don't see how/what you want to accomplish. If it is a static column, you can create a table in Bootstrap for instance and have the data loop as a razor. ActionGrid allows to create your own templates, certainly in combination with tokens, this creates a lot of freedom.

        Other options would be from Mandeeps where you could combine Live visualizer with Live Forms. Another alternative would be 2SXC which also allows for freedom but is more developer oriented. Last but not least: OpenContent is more light weight but is also flexible regarding lists, content types and forms. Not sure about the sql options, though.

          Action Grid does everything i need except for freezing the left most column so scrolling works better

          on a mobile phone

            Hello Tycho,

                  thanks for all that information - when scrolling the grid on a mobile device i want the headers and the left most column to always be

            displayed. Currently Action Grid can freeze the headers - they call this sticky header and i simply check that option - but i do not see an

            option to freeze a column
