Sounds like a skin issue. Did you try to set the page on Xcillion? Just tested in 9.7.0 and that works as expected.

I am currently using a custom skin on my system.

Is there anything that i can do to rectify the issue?

First test the search on a page that has Xcillion. If that works, you know for certain that it is a skin issue.
Second: check Chrome (inspect element) for errors to see what js is screwing things up.

I have tested the search on a page that has Xcillion but it shows the same results.

The console does not show any errors with the js though.

If you have a link you can email me ([email protected]) I can take a quick peak. Maybe worth a shot.

Thank you so much but unfortunately i do not have a link to the website. I am working on it on my local machine.

Will sharing a snippet of the js code help in any way?

I saw you posted the same question in 3 sub-forums. Please do not do that, limit a question to a single thread. I removed the other 2 posts.

Likely the search results page is not defined under admin.
