Congrats on posting!

Hello

Description
When attempting to download a file using the DNN Repository module (on DNN 10.0.0), I receive the following error:

"A critical error has occurred. Please check the Admin Logs for further details."

This occurs after uploading and publishing a public file (MSP_Onboarding_Checklist). Clicking the download button triggers the error instead of initiating the file download.

Steps to Reproduce
Use the DNN Repository module in DNN 10.
Upload a file (e.g., a PDF or DOCX).
Click the download button on the public-facing module.
Observe the critical error message.

I’ll probably mess this up, but I’m taking a chance and hoping AI can help me fix it.

Meh... I use AI every day for all kinds of tasks.  I doubt any of them can help with this one much.  😎

What version of the module and DNN are you using?  Is this happening with all downloads or just specific downloads?

Are you able to verify that the folder has the appropriate permissions to download files?

Hi Will,

I’m using the latest DNN Repository module on DNN 10, with the application pool identity configured through IIS.

Interestingly, I was able to successfully upload and download an image and documents from this page:
https://azmanagedit.com/Services/Latest-News

The issue seems to occur specifically with PDFs—those are the files that trigger the error. I also have someone from Fiverr who said they might be able to help, so I’ll try to loop them in and see if they can assist further. Give me some more time to play with this.
