Congrats on posting!

Hey everyone,

Hope you’re all doing well!
Just wanted to share an issue we’re running into — whenever we post HTML content in the community forum \ active forum, I get this error message:

<code>Error: AZ Managed IT Forum is currently unavailable. DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Input string was not in a correct format. -&#45;&#45;&gt; System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format. at System.Text.StringBuilder.FormatError() at System.Text.StringBuilder.AppendFormatHelper(IFormatProvider provider, String format, ParamsArray args) at System.String.FormatHelper(IFormatProvider provider, String format, ParamsArray args) at DotNetNuke.Services.Tokens.PropertyAccess.FormatString(String value, String format) at DotNetNuke.Modules.ActiveForums.Entities.TopicInfo.GetProperty(String propertyName, String format, CultureInfo formatProvider, UserInfo accessingUser, Scope accessLevel, Boolean& propertyNotFound) at DotNetNuke.Services.Tokens.BaseCustomTokenReplace.replacedTokenValue(String objectName, String propertyName, String format) at DotNetNuke.Services.Tokens.BaseTokenReplace.ReplaceTokens(String sourceText) at DotNetNuke.Modules.ActiveForums.Services.Tokens.TokenReplacer.ReplaceTopicTokens(StringBuilder template, TopicInfo topic, PortalSettings portalSettings, SettingsInfo mainSettings, INavigationManager navigationManager, ForumUserInfo forumUser, Uri requestUri, String rawUrl) at DotNetNuke.Modules.ActiveForums.Controls.TopicsView.ParseTopics(String Template, DataTable Topics, String Section) at DotNetNuke.Modules.ActiveForums.Controls.TopicsView.BindTopics(String topicsTemplate) at DotNetNuke.Modules.ActiveForums.Controls.TopicsView.OnLoad(EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- </code>

It only happens when HTML is included in a post — plain text works fine.
Just wanted to see if anyone else has run into this or found a workaround.

Friendly URL Issue
When we enable Friendly URLs, the forum becomes inaccessible from the root page — clicking the forum link just doesn’t load anything.

Just wanted to put this out there and see if anyone else has run into these issues or has a workaround.

Thanks in advance for any help!

What version of the forums module? This was an issue that was addressed in 9.1
https://github.com/DNNCom...tyForums/issues/1576

So if you’re on an earlier version, please test latest https://github.com/DNNCom...unityForums/releases

Regarding friendly URLs, what is the page/url on which the forums module is placed? Is it on a top-level page or on a subpage (like /community/forums/)?

Are you trying to insert html to display as an example to read the html or to actually render?

For display, make sure you wrap in “code” tags

I put together some documentation in the forums module wiki to explain how HTML / XML can be entered in different ways to render as content vs markup/documentation. Let me know if this helps...
