Congrats on posting!

Hi everyone,

I'm working with DNN 10 and 2sxc v19.03.05, and I’ve run into a challenge while trying to reuse the 2sxc Blog module across multiple pages.

Goal:

I want to add the same Blog App (2sxc-based) to a new page but have it display completely separate blog posts from the original (not shared content). For example:

  • /services uses the Blog module to show service-related posts.

  • /blog should show general or news-related posts — different content entirely.

Problem:

When I add the Blog module to a new page, it reuses the same Content Group, so both pages show the same blog items. There’s no prompt to “Create New Content Group” like older versions used to offer.

What I’ve Tried:

  • Used “Change Template/Layout” to switch views — still reuses the same content.
  • Tried to create a new content group manually, but no obvious option in the UI.
  • Cloned the app as a workaround, which works — but isn’t ideal if I want to use the same app structure across many pages.

Question:

Is there a proper way (in 2sxc v19+) to:

  • Create a new content group when re-adding a Blog app to another page?
  • Or assign a module instance to its own content context without cloning the entire app?

Any tips or best practices from those managing multi-page setups with shared 2sxc apps would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
