Maya,

is the upgrade installing when you do it the "normal" way, I mean when you upload it in Extensions :: Install extension?

Yes Michael,

By Install Extension, its working fine and updates are being installed properly. Its just "install.aspx?mode=installresources" OR as you suggested this one --> "install.aspx?mode=upgrade" options are not working.

Any clues?

Maya,

no idea, TBH. mode=install always worked for me. It sounds to me a bit like an issue with your configuration, please double check .Net Framework version (should be 4.7.2+), and permissions (in the files and the database). Maybe something is wrong there, but actually no idea...

Happy DNNing!

I agree with Michael that it does look like a hosting environment issue.
As it looks like you already tried it all, I personally would try this on a fresh DNN 9.6.2 and if it does work there.
If it does try to find the differences between the two installations.

Thank you Michael and Timo for you help and suggestions.

I had installed fresh DNN 9.6.2(I haven't made any change in any file after the installation of DNN) and tried to install one module using "URL_of_my_site/Install/Install.aspx?mode=InstallResources" command, this worked fine and it has installed that module.

Now, when I kept the module .zip again in install/module folder to upgrade the same and executed the same command "URL_of_my_site/Install/Install.aspx?mode=InstallResources", its not working. Nothing is happening same as I have mentioned above. .zip gets deleted and nothing is getting updated. So, Issue is there with fresh install as well.

So, I suppose I need to do some change to make it work as its working for all you guys.

Michael, Timo, can anyone of you please check the same scenario with fresh DNN 9.6.2 installation? If its not working for you as well then you can conclude/compare the existing settings of your site and provide me some information if possible please.

Could it be that the version number in the upgrade package's manifest is the same than the version number of the already installed extension?

Happy DNNing!

Hi,

Thank you all for your suggestions/solutions. Unfortunately, none of the solutions worked at my end. So, I have implemented PolyDeploy to be used for deployment and its actually good.
