We need to upgrade some website to DNN 10. They have the DNNSharp Action Form modules.
Does anyone know if DNNSharp Action Form keep working after the upgrade? DNNSharp stopt the development and support of the module
I don't know for sure, but you may want to replace them with something else. I don't use them myself, but I've heard of others having issues very similar to you. 🫣
Thought it's worth mentioning that development and support for Action Form hasn't stopped. It continued as part of Plant an App and it actually evolved quote a lot. We have a large team behind it and many organizations big and small rely on our technology to drive digital transformation initiatives and projects on steroids.
As Will said, if there's alternatives that would work for you, that will give you continous innovation to keep you relevant and confidence they'd be there in the long run, you should transition. It's not worth investing in legacy or wannabe technology just because it's cheap - you pay a much higher price over time. Plant an App is one strong alternative. DNN Sharp has been around for 12 years, and Plant an App has already ben arond for 6 years. Both proved ability to deliver ongoing innovation and reliability. There's tons of training content and a community around it. Customers perceive it as state-of-the-art - this 2025 report just came out Low-Code Business Process Management - Midmarket 2025.
As with any product, there's always goes be haters and there's always going to be champions. It's fine to get both perspectives, but ultimately each context is different so I recommend to evaluate the reasonable alternatives and decide what's best for you.
In these scenarios I recommend you to try to always work with two different providers, it gives you the window to change the module real quick with something you're already familiar with in case one of your current providers its not going to keep updating the module you're using. You can apply this simple rule to everything: hosting, skin, modules, etc. Its not 100% bulletproof but it gives you more options.
