When i use the xcillion home page, it renders my site logo very small. i feel that i need to provide a magnifying glass for users. When i use my preferred theme, from dnngo, it displays as i want. is there a way to easily change the dimensions of the logo? i tried edit mode but the header of the page is unreachable. i suspect that i will need to find the css class which styles the logo, but that could take a considerable amount of time to find.

Congrats on posting!
The class="brand" has a max-width of 120px.
You can verify in inspect element:

.navbar .brand {
float: left;
padding: 0!important;
max-width: 120px;
}

So, if you remove the max-width or give it a higher value, the logo should be bigger as well.
If you don't want to adjust the skin initially, you can first test in the Settings-Custom CSS in the persona bar. You might need to ad an !important;
