Hello,

I upgraded from 9.1.1. to 9.2.0. and get this error
The Controls collection cannot be modified because the control contains code blocks (i.e. <% ... %>).

Is this a bug in DNN 9.2.0. or do I have to change the themes and remove all code blocks <% ... %> (actually not an option)
Is it fixed in version 9.4, 9.5 or 9.6

No we didn't change the skin/container it's a DNNGo Theme
It did run perfect on DNN 9.1.1.

I did send an email to Linda... I think they are asleep in Wuhan now... just wait...

But this i quite a breaking change in DNN 9.2... maybe migrate to custom theme is the way to go...

Normally a skin does not break in 9.2.2 this must be something DNN Go specific. (they hack around in DNN a lot ;-))

There are pros and cons for both approaches. Custom gives you full control. But you're also the one investigating issues, fixing things, inventing wheels etc. If a skin needs a lot of custom work and / or evolves quite a bit, you want control, you want custom. Or if you have speed as a priority. Or if you think it is fun/art, because it is.

If you have to allocate the budget to functionality or if you don't have the css skills yourselvces, you might consider a commercial skin. Before dismissing this: it does score high on google page speed nowadays, you can adjust the css (there is even a contextual interface for that. No, not portal.css), there is google fonts, there is image compression, a visual content builder, save your own content types, etc etc.
