I'm getting back into using DNN after a few years hiatus. I'm building a site for a friend of mine after securing a Virtual Private Server at Kamatera.com... I installed version DNN 9.9.1 using the nvQuickSite utility. The site installed correctly and I was able to "exercise it" over the next few days without issue.
Yesterday I decided to attach my friend's domain to the site to give him access. I setup the DNS nameservers through GoDaddy, and waited until this evening for the DNS to propagate. It appears to have completed now, but I am unable to access the site now from either the IIS server or remote machines.
Judging by the favicon appearing on the browser tab, the requests are hitting the DNN site on my server. But rather than displaying the Home Page title I'm seeing: {0} and I am seeing this error:
Exception:Value cannot be null. Parameter name: url
Stack Trace: at System.Web.HttpResponse.Redirect(String url, Boolean endResponse, Boolean permanent) at DotNetNuke.Entities.Urls.AdvancedUrlRewriter.ProcessRequest(HttpContext context, Uri requestUri, Boolean useFriendlyUrls, UrlAction result, FriendlyUrlSettings settings, Boolean allowSettingsChange, Guid parentTraceId)
Administrators - You can see this exception because the customErrors attribute in the web.config is set to 'off'. Change this value to 'on' or 'RemoteOnly' to show Error Handling. The error handling would have shown this page : Default.aspx?TabId=24
The bindings to the site are set are set in standard fashion: Type: http Host Name: www.sullytoons.com IP Address: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx Port: 80 and http Host Name: sullytoons.com IP Address: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx Port: 80
App Pool is: SullyToons.dnndev.me_nvQuickSite App Pool Identity: SullyToons.dnndev.me_nvQuickSite has Modify to root of Website/File Folder... Physical Path in Advanced Settings for Website: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\SullyToons\Website

I've searched far and wide on Google for some indication of why the Parameter "URL" would be Null at the System.Web.HttpResponse.Redirect call?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Please consider expanding the options in CkEditor in this forum. It extremely cumbersome to post given the current configuration:-(
did you make sure to add the new domain as portal alias to the site? If you are still able to use your preliminary site address, you can add the alias in Site settings, otherwise, you might need to edit the portalalias table in the database. Please make sure, the primary alias is a publically accessible domain address.
That did the trick! I'm a little rusty after laying off DNN for a few years :-) Thanks so much!
