Hello,

I can't upgrade from dnn 7 to dnn 9, too many errors. So, I ask me if there is a method to copy and paste all pages with the same url and "seo".

I'm not an expert.. for example to copy dbo.tab (and check if there are different columns) from one db to another or use sql script to help me.

In these pages I would to copy only the html modules with the text inside.

Have you suggestions to solve my problem?

thanks

Congrats on posting!
If it is a really small site, I'd copy the contents. You could be done in a few hours.
If it is a larger site, I'd probably take a look at the errors. Upgrading DNN is most of the time pretty straight forward.
Having said that, 9.2 deprecated a lot of stuff so that could be something.

If you are in 7, you need to go to 804 first. The suggested upgrade path is on

Just for fun, what kinds of errors are you having?

If you can follow the recommended upgrade path, getting to 8.0.4 with everything working is a good step. The suggested upgrade path says that you should be able to get to 9.3.2, but you will really want to read the release notes to make sure that you don't miss any warning and recommendations about the removal of deprecated APIs.

To add to Tycho's suggestions, for small sites you might be able to save page templates and import them into the 8.0.4 site and then move forward from there. That's creating a new 8.0.4 install and trying to duplicate it by hand. I've done this a few times when the old site is just a mess.

You will need to have your skin and modules installed first if you follow this path. Depending, you might find that either the skin or some modules have trouble with 8.0.4. If so, you'll need to correct them.

Be sure to keep upgrades of the database and files as you move forward.
