DNN Security HotFix 2017.1 needed?

After upgrading to DNN 9.5 I can see that "DNN Security HotFix 2017.1 " is still installed, can that safely be removed these days?

You can. The security issue has been fixed in version 9.1.1.

Anyway, the installation of the hotfix fixed the problem, and uninstalling it did not bring it back afair.

Thanks. We have not removed it also as it seemed like this would not be needed anymore now.

I would not remove this as it is possible that the uninstall action would undo the patching that was done with the hot fix. It isn’t guaranteed to happen but not worth the risk.

Once on 9.8.0 and completing the Telerik removal you should be set to remove it.
