You should upgrade DNN. There were some errors in 9.0.0 and this might be one of them.

The normal recommendation is that you upgrade to 9.6.1.

Be aware, though, that upgrading to 9.3.2 and beyond will require module upgrades, as there are some (intentional) breaking changes. So, try upgrading to 9.3.1 and see if that helps. But, the upgrade to 9.6.1 is really important.

Cristian,

also note that you need to install .NetFramework 4.7.2 or higher before upgrading to DNN 9.3.2.

Happy DNNing!

Congrats, your posts are really liked!

Minor correction to above, v9.04.00 is when the .NET 4.7.x requirement came in to play.

Besides having backups, we do 2 things to make upgrading *not* become a time-consuming job.

1) update modules first to the latest version*

2) use upgrade path and notes here:
https://dnndocs.com/conte...rade-path/index.html

* unless you are on a very old version and a module has set a min DNN version requirement higher than you are currently at. There are quite a few examples of this where (recently) many developers set the minimum to DNN v8.
