Hey folks — sharing a quick fix in case it helps someone else.

I originally set our Community Forums page up as a URL (we were pointing to a Discourse forum). Back then, I turned on “Open Link in New Window.” Later I moved the page back to Standard and back to Active Forums | DNN Community Forums… totally forgot that the new-window toggle lives under the URL page type UI. 

Result: even as a Standard page, it kept opening in a new tab and made me think I was losing it.

What fixed it
Open the page in Persona Bar → Content → Pages → Details.
Temporarily switch Page Type to URL.
Turn Open Link in New Window Off (and Permanent Redirect Off, if it’s on).
Switch Page Type back to Standard.
Save.
