Congrats on posting!

Hi -

I was wondering how I could restrict access to the Settings and Move tools for Modules, so that only Admins could access them. I would still want regular non-admin users to be able to access the Edit Content controls. How would I go about doing thhat?

Thanks

Tom

Oliver Hine's https://github.com/ohine/...Permissions-Provider might be what you need. That, or an Evoq license.

Thanks Joe - So that functionality is not available in DNN Community version?

Going to GitHub you will see this: "This provider will enable every permission available in DotNetNuke and the DNN Platform."

I interpret that to mean that the functionality is present in DNN Platform, but the module is needed to make all of the functionality available.

Does anyone know if there is a installation file to test this?

I do not see one, or any releases for this module?

There are two open questions from years ago also - look like this project was abandoned.

For what it's worth, I am using version 0.2.1 of the provider on a DNN 9.6.1 installation. No problems.

Your best bet might be to drop Oliver a note and see how he responds.

if you just want your users to edit content, grant edit permission just for those modules, not for the whole page(s).
But users won't be able to move modules around or enter module settings (unless provided explicitely by the module itself).
