Hi Guys,

Is it possible to amend the content of the notification email that gets sent out when a user receives a message through the Messaging Centre? I'm hoping to add some images/hyperlinks etc to the ootb email but couldn't find where the content is stored.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Andrew

The content is stored in a resources file (.resx) that is available via the language editor.

Go to Site Settings, Languages. The select the Edit option (tA) next to the Culture item. It's the last icon on the line.

Next use the dropdown and select the resource file using the dropdown. Expand Global Resources and then select GlobalResources. Scroll down to find the resource string you need to modify.

If you want to modify the message sent to a new user, the string begins with EMAIL_USER_REGISTRATION. There are several versions that depend on the user registration method. For nomal registration, that would be EMAIL_USER_REGISTRATION_PUBLIC_BODY.Text

Edit and save the message text and you'll be all set.
