I have a very large DNN website which is extemely content heavy and I am currently creating webpages with up to about 30 html modules each with around 3 A4 pages of text
Most of the time when I edit a module the cursor jumps to the top of the page and i then have to scroll down to where i was working which is tedious given the number of modules I need to scroll past
When i add a new html module the cursor remains in place so there is clearly no reason why it has to go back to the top
Is there a patch or add-in that fixes this bug?
Thanks for your help :)
Hello James:
Welcome to the DNN community! (FYI, I've moved your post to a more appropriate forum.) 😊
What you're referring to is something I'd probably characterize as a missing feature, and not really a bug. It's literally doing what it's supposed to be doing. I rarely have pages so large, so scrolling is barely annoying enough for me to have had reported over the years, but your experience is something we've all been dealing with.
I'd recommend creating an enhancement request to add this missing feature.
(Also, since DNN is open-source, please know that simply creating the issue is not a guarantee that it will be worked on. Someone has to be passionate enough about the update to pick it up, or get sponsored. However, not having an issue created ensures that no one can perform the update.)
Hello:
FYI - I had to delete your newest post, because it was a duplicate of this one. Sorry.
Thank you Will, I will register a feature request
Hi Will
The link takes me to GitHub that, once I have registered, asks me questions I do not understand, it appears to be geared to developers, which I certainly am not :(
Thanks for your help
Any help you can give me with this would be most appreciated, i am spending a significant amount of time every week repeatedly manually scrolling back down to the module I am working on
Thanks again :)
People in our community are generally very understanding. Just fill it out the best you can, and post a link to this forum thread as well. If you let them know you're not technical, they'll just start asking a bunch of questions. You may even see me jump in there. 😊
Thank you so much
Strange, when i clicked on the link you gave yesterday this time i was taken to a completely different screen within the DNN Community whereas yesterday I was taken to the GitHub website :(
I have done as you suggested
Thanks again for your help :)

Awesome... Always my pleasure! 😁
For the rest of us, here's the issue reported in GitHub. 🙌🏽
