We have three DNN sites. Two of which sometimes need editing at the same time. I have to log out of one and log in to the other in order to do this. Why can I not have both open for editing? We host our own DNN sites on our own servers. Not sure if this is a server problem or a DNN problem.

      Hello!

I'm guessing that the sites you're referring to are using different domain names, such as site1.com and site2.com, or site1.example.com and site2.example.com.  This really isn't a DNN or server issue, if that's the case. This is just how the internet is intended to work (by default).  ☹️  When you move from one domain name to another, you need to log in again and have the necessary cookies created that's used by the website in question.

If this is indeed what you're experiencing, there are ways to make this better/easier.

      • Implement single sign-on on the sites.  This way, you can log in once and then seemingly switch sites seamlessly (or at least a faster login that you can click through).
      • Implement a site-switching logout/login theme object (or module).  This would need to be built by someone, but it could allow authorized end-users to be logged out on one site (or not) and then redirected with the correct login applied on the other site.
      • Implement a different kind of login that's less annoying, such as the Upendo Simple Authentication Provider.
