Hi Community,

I've a new website we recently published, the customer had this in Wix (includes https) and on SERP the link comes with HTTPS, the client it's not going to use HTTPS with us. Right now, if you click on any of the results from SERP will give an error.

I need to create a redirection rule that sends traffic from HTTPS to HTTP in the meantime SERP gets updated.

I've created a redirection rule for HTTP to HTTPS in the past for other projects but I need to do this backwards.

Any ideas?

Not using https is bad. It is much easier to get a free Let's Encrypt certificate and make that site secure. Or you can put it behind Cloudflare and use their free certificate in IIS.

As Mariette mentioned, you really should use HTTPS anyway. It's way too easy to secure a website these days, the performance is not impacted, and Google will ding any website not using HTTPS. There are only benefits to using SSL/HTTPS and no real downsides these days. :)
