Is anyone doing virus checking for files uploaded to DNN websites?  If so, what are you using.

What do you mean? When ordinary users upload files, during that process? Or if you upload something yourself...

Somebody asked me a question about user uploads, but the question could apply to either reason.

Tycho (and Joe),

ClamAV does no real time scan (afair), and anyway, a real time scanner can produce incredible performance issues on your website. The solution could be an upload module that is using a folder outside of the website folder structure (which should be excluded from all visrus scans), and doing a call to ClamAV to scan the uploaded file. If it is clean, it can be moved to the portal files, otherwise deleted or quarantined or something.

Happy DNNing!
